Rebecca Donnelly MBE – Fight 4 Change

When Rebecca was 5 years old, her father a bus driver from Catford, fell victim to a horrific gang attack. Rebecca’s father was attacked by a gang of youths on Christmas Eve whilst working.
He was bottled round the face and stabbed in the stomach, and would have bled to death if it were not for a passenger who saved his life. As a teenager, her father encouraged Rebecca to take up martial arts to learn how to protect herself. Little did she know she would become hooked on martial arts, which would take her on a journey she could have never imagined.
Later Rebecca set up a charity called ‘Fight 4 Change,’ to educate, inspire and empower potential offenders and ex-offender youths, like those who attacked her father, with the hope to prevent such re-occurrences to others, allow the youths to create positive life changes, and lead the next generation bearing the torch of the ‘martial way’ to a brighter future.
